Some of my favorite Bare Escentuals products!

by Courtney Lyn

When it comes to Bare Minerals powder foundation, I try to steer every guest away from this stuff. I have strong opinions about their loose products, but I’ll keep it to myself. Feel free to ask any questions. Biggest reasons why I don’t typically recommend anyone wearing bare minerals is because of how unnatural the colors can be. I think because there are so few ingredients, that there is not much lee-way when adjusting to your own complexion. I just don’t like the stuff for myself or any guests I apply makeup to. If you do wear it, and love it, chances are you have a perfect color match and the right skin that works well with their makeup.

On the other hand!

I am completely for Bare Escentuals eyeshadow, pressed blush, lip products, etc

Infact, I think their eyeshadows are some of the best I’ve used. This is because of how buildable the shadow is. I’m talking about their pressed eyeshadows. They really are some of the nicest pigments I’ve worked with. Soft, smooth, dense and natural in the sense that it will not leave you with harsh hard to blend lines. I think a smokey eye is pretty much effortless with their fine eyeshadow powders.

There are a ton of color options as well. Either the quad for $30 or a duo for $20

I would recommend this to anyone that currently uses their loose blush. These pressed cheek colors have been out for a while and I still am informing Bare lovers about ‘em! Their blushes are made with antioxidants and hydrating, brightening oils like my favorite grapeseed. The colors, again, are build-able and long wearing. I doubt you would have that moment of accidentally putting too much on and needing to blend it out with more foundation ;) and it will really will make your skin softer and smoother

Price- $22

Keep an eye out for some of the kits they will be releasing. They are ALWAYS affordable and are a great value. Holiday season is the best time to try out some of their newer products for a good price.
